Organic Pecorino Sardo Zafferano
Pecorino allo zafferano is a semi hard sheep’s milk cheese made with organic raw whole milk and aged from 60 to 120 days.
Its most obvious characteristic is the addition of purest organic saffron from northern Sardinia to the curd to produce a distinctive product with unique golden colour that has an intense aroma of sheep's milk and saffron but a delicate taste, with a compact and buttery paste. It's best enjoyed with fruits, squash preserves, vegetables or to add to pasta and risotto.
